Natalia Radenskaya

Natalia Radenskaya, born in Volgograd, Russia, has done her graduation in Choreography from the College of Dance in her city.

She received her initial training in Kathak at the Indian Cultural Center in Moscow under the guidance of Smt. Shakti Roberts.

She was granted scholarship by ICCR to pursue her training in India. She joined Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya, New Delhi, in 1996 and she completed her Visharad in Kathak from the institution under the guidance of Guru Prerana Shrimali.

With her Guru, Natalia has featured in various group choreographies such as "Doosaro Na Koi', based on Meera's poetries, in "Avartan", presented at Festival of New Choreography in IHC, New Delhi in April 2001, in "Vistar", composed for the "Vasantotsava", kathak Festival organized by Kalaashram in February 2001. Natalia has performed in Annual Functions of Gandharva MV and participated in Annual Festival at Mahavirji town, commemorating 2000th year of the Lord Mahavirji's birthday.

 She has presented solo performances in "Kala Kshitji", program of ICCR, in Delhi, at Habitat Center in year of 2000, in Sanawar Lowrence School in 2004 and in “Attic” theater in 2006.

 In 2004 Natalia was selected for empanelment in the ICCR’s Reference Panel of Artists. 

 Natalia has performed extensively abroad like Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Russia. She has also worked creatively in a combined program of flamenco, Oriental, Argentinean, Irish, American tap dancing and Kathak and gave about 20 shows in Europe.

She gave her lecture-demonstrations of Kathak in northen cites of Sweden, organised by cultural house “Dans i Nord”, Yekaterinburg Center of Modern Art (Russia), S-Petersburg’s Conservatoire – department of coreography (Russia), Siberian institute of art in Krasnoyarsk.   


For the last few years Natalia gives her solo performances and trainings based on the subject of energy of the movement in kathak style  all over Russia.

After working with dancers from USA, Australia, Spain, Japan, Africa, Natalia feels that Kathak has its own vastness and depth to share the same space with all dance forms around whether it’s contemporary or traditional.
